OnlineGrader.com (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and automated grading services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, account credentials
  • Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and time spent
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Used to improve user experience and analyze site performance

Uploaded files are handled differently depending on the service used. When using our automated grading tools, submissions are processed in real time and discarded immediately after analysis. However, when students submit files through the Student Uploads tab, those files are securely stored for up to 30 days to allow teachers access and review. We recommend that educators remove files within 7 days of upload to minimize data retention.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our automated grading services
  • Respond to inquiries and offer customer support
  • Monitor usage patterns and detect abuse
  • Send service-related updates and notifications

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your personal information. Uploaded files submitted via the Student Uploads tab are stored temporarily for up to 30 days before automatic deletion. Teachers are encouraged to delete files manually within 7 days of upload. Files submitted through automated grading tools are not retained and remain transient. However, no system is completely secure, and you use our services at your own risk.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party tools for analytics, hosting, or email delivery. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and comply with applicable privacy laws.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Request a copy of your data

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@onlinegrader.com.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for educators and institutions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
